Assam BrahminSamaj
"Preserving Heritage, Promoting Unity, Inspiring Future Generations"
Welcome to our community

Sri Amulya Nath Sarma
President, Assam Brahmin Samaj
"Sahanā Bhavatu — May we live together in harmony."
It is with profound humility that we welcome you to the Assam Brahmin Samaj. For more than a thousand years, our community — known locally as Bamuns — has been the custodian of Vedic learning, Sanskrit scholarship, Āyurveda and Jyotiṣa, weaving these traditions into the cultural fabric of Assam.
As we step into a new era, our Samaj remains committed to nurturing the youth, supporting families through life's samskāras, sustaining the tol tradition of Sanskrit seminaries, and serving the broader society — for tradition is meaningful only when it inspires the future.

A community rooted in dharma, devoted to seva
The Assam Brahmin Samaj brings together Bamun families from across the state — heirs to a tradition shaped by the Varman, Pala, Koch and Ahom eras — to preserve our spiritual heritage, support one another, and contribute meaningfully to Assamese society.
- Safeguard the ten samskāras of the Kāmarūpa school for future generations
- Sustain Sanskrit learning and the tol tradition through study and recitation
- Organise festivals, yajnas and sammelans rooted in Assamese Brahmin practice
- Foster unity across district committees, families and the youth
